THE Village Hotel’s Pub and Grill has revealed its completely new look after a £650,000 transformation.

Seven weeks was spent on a back-to-the-plaster refit at the Centre Park venue and an upgrade of the kitchen with an updated menu.

It is part of The Village’s aim to be one of the best places in the town to watch live sports with two new 99in screens and a dedicated viewing area with 12 cinema-style seats.

Warrington Guardian:

There is also an island bar with a screen on every side so there is not a bad seat in the house for sports fans.

Donn Timmons, general manager, said: “We already have a great following for all live sports and our new layout will certainly make us a top venue to cheer on your favourite team or cheer on the horses during Cheltenham or the Grand National.”

The new look also includes a living moss wall as a nod to the hotel’s ‘Village Green’ campaign.

Warrington Guardian:

The aim of the campaign is to make the pub’s team of 35 more responsible and sustainable members of the community by supporting charity and volunteering initiatives.

Donn added: “This is a real statement for us at the hotel. Not only does this look great it links in with our Village Green initiative. We actively work within the community and are always working towards operating in a more sustainable manner.”

On top of that, the pub has also adopted new technology so visitors can order food or a round of drinks from an app on their phone or from a touch screen menu.

There are numerous benefits to this like being able to order food before you arrive or if you are watching a game you can tap on your favourite pint and have it brought to your cinema chair so you do not miss a moment.

Donn said: “The Pub and Grill centres around our island bar and introduces some great design features including our living wall which was specially imported to our cinema seating in front of our massive 99in screens.

Warrington Guardian:

“We want all of our guests to have the very best experience while dining and drinking with us and we recognise that tastes are changing and there is a lot of competition in the market so we want to remain at the forefront of hospitality.”

Meanwhile, the new menu includes a brunch-style ‘on toast’ section – where you can get the likes of smashed avocado with poached eggs, bacon or salmon – as well as health concious dishes under 500 calories while the Village’s popular burger stacks are here to stay.
