WORK to widen Burtonwood Road will mean full closures during the day this week.
Work is ongoing to widen the road southbound between Charon Way and the roundabout junction of Westbrook Way.
Council bosses hope this will reduce the traffic chaos in the area.
This week though, from today, Monday, until Friday, there will be a full closure of Burtonwood Road between the junction for the M62 and Burtonwood Road roundabout between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
There will be no access out of or into Kingswood Road from Burtonwood Road.

Meanwhile on Wednesday and Thursday there will be a north eastbound closure of Whittle Avenue from the Thatch Cottage roundabout to Westbrook Way between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
