POLICE will take no further action over a reported sexual assault on a teenager in the town centre.
Parts of Bank Park were cordoned off on Sunday morning following reports of an 18-year-old woman being the victim of a serious sexual assault in the area shortly after 5.30am the same day.
But Cheshire Police have confirmed today, Monday, that they will take no further action concerning the incident.

A force spokesman said: “Cheshire Police has been conducting an investigation in relation to a report of a serious sexual assault that had allegedly been committed in the area of Bank Park.
“Our investigation has now concluded with no further action.
“We are not seeking any further information in relation to this incident.”
