A CRAFT-ERNOON tea returns to Lymm later this month.

The Sewing Bee Sanctuary and Room Forty mobile Afternoon Tea Emporium will host the event on Saturday, March 23.

Room Forty will also be running a spring pop up afternoon tea room – by appointment only – on the same day.

The fun Craft-ernoon Tea event offers a chance to learn to sew with expert tuition by Sewing Bee Sanctuary, followed by a sumptuous afternoon tea hand made by Room Forty along with a glass of fizz. This is the fifth Craft-ernoon Tea that the businesses have combined to run in the past 12 months.

Taking place in Lymm Parish Hall, session One at 10am will make a fully reversible tote bag while session two at 12pm will make a clasped purse and at session three at 2pm guests will learn to do some freehand machine design onto a tote bag.

The cost per person for each session is £40 which includes the cost of all materials and the afternoon tea.

The Room Forty pop up afternoon tea room will also be open that day and afternoon tea can be booked at a cost of £19 per head.

Jennifer Perry, proprietor of Room Forty, said: "This will be our fourth Craft-ernoon Tea event. They are such fun and so popular that they quickly sell out. And no experience necessary."

Rebecca Shattock of Sewing Bee Sanctuary added: "Room Forty and Sewing Bee Sanctuary are both artisan small businesses and the idea for the original event came from a discussion about how we could work together."
