DO you recognise this picture of a long lost school in Warrington?

These children at Heathside CE Primary School were enjoying celebrations, possibly for the coronation in 1954.

Heathside School was based near Kendrick Street at the old Warrington Fire Station but was knocked down along with many other buildings as part of the changes to Warrington town centre to allow for the arrival of Golden Square.

Do you recognise anyone in the picture?

It was brought in by Cynthia Baker (now Salluyts), on the front row with glasses, and she also remembers the girl leaning forward on front row as Wynn Higham.
