A MAN accused of firing a blank starting pistol in the vicinity of a police helicopter at Lake Vyrnwy has admitted acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft.
Richard Lawrence Alan Barnard, 44, appeared at Mold Crown Court via a live television link from Altcourse Prison in Liverpool on Friday (February 22).
Barnard, of Alltforgan, Llanwddyn, admitted that on January 21 he acted in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft, a police helicopter.
He further admitted that he possessed an imitation firearm, a blank firing starting pistol, intending to cause two police officers to believe that unlawful violence would be used against them.
Judge Rhys Rowlands adjourned the case and Barnard was remanded in custody.
