A HESWALL bookseller has been shortlisted for Independent Bookshop of the Year - but need Globe readers' help.
Linghams is one of six Northern finalists recognised at the British Book Awards but in order to win their regional heat, they need the public to tell organiser The Bookseller why Linghams deserve to win.
Once the public votes have been cast, a winner will be chosen for the North.
The lucky winner will then compete with eight other regional finalists to receive the overall prize of £5,000, courtesy of wholesalers Gardners Books, and the coveted title of Independent Bookshop of the Year.

Award judge and The Bookseller’s managing editor Tom Tivnan said: “There have been welcome statistics recently about the indie bookselling sector’s incredible revival and the sheer strength and depth of this year’s submissions certainly reflects that.
"Indie bookshops in the UK and Ireland are responding smartly to the changing marketplace, are passionate about bringing books to more readers and are lynchpins of local communities.”
The overall winner will be announced at a glitzy awards ceremony at Grosvenor House in London on May 13.
