BUDDING writers are invited to Warrington libraries for storytelling workshops.

LiveWire and literary company Read Now Write Now have secured Arts Council funding for adult courses in Warrington Central Library on Museum Street and Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.

The Hear I Am project is a free, seven-week course for beginners, consisting of weekly sessions which will focus on inspiration, writing, technique, style and how to perform a story.

It will be run by author and storyteller, Charles Lea, principal of Read Now Write Now.

He said: "We aim to help participants learn the skills to think and write a short story and then how to tell it to an audience of friends and family.

"We feel that people taking part will achieve a wonderful feeling of pride and fulfilment in taking part in the project.

"Feedback from our similar course, Write Time, Write Place has been absolutely positive with many not only enjoying the writing aspect but also commenting on how well the course has boosted their health and wellbeing and confidence."

Central Library in Museum Street will start hosting the course on Tuesday, March 12, from 10am until 11.30am.

Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub in Jubilee Way will be running it from Monday, March 11, between 12.30pm and 2pm.
