SHOCKED Appleton residents have been celebrating after scooping £30k each thanks to their lucky postcode.

On Sunday, 10 residents of Bridge Lane landed the cash prize when WA4 3AJ came came up trumps and was announced as a Street Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery.

Pharmacist, Hayley Dervin, 39, was joined by her mum Lilian Rose when she received the knock on her door from the People’s Postcode Lottery team and became emotional when she discovered how much she’d won.

She said: "As a mum of three and with one son at university, I can’t explain the difference that this will make.

"I have family in Australia that I have never even met before and my mum hasn’t seen for years.

"It’s always been my dream to be able to go over and take my mum with me, but we never really thought it would be possible until now."

"It’s also been lovely to win with my neighbours, we’re all quite friendly and look out for one another so it’s nice to share this experience with them."
