WILKO will be moving to a new home in Golden Square Shopping Centre in April.

The existing store in Cockhedge Shopping Park will close its doors on Saturday, March 23, before the new store opens in the old BHS unit in April.

Team members from the existing store will be joining the new 15,000 square ft Wilko, which is expected to generate more then 30 new jobs.

Craig McGregor, head of retail said: "We are delighted to have signed the lease at Golden Square shopping centre and can’t wait to open our doors in April.

"We’ve loved serving hard-working families in Warrington, and are looking forward to welcoming them to our new store.

"The shopping centre is in a fantastic central location with great transport links, and we’re sure it will become the go-to place for people looking to stock up on products for their homes and gardens for years to come."

Customers can still shop the range of products on the Wilko website.
