TEAMS of Scouts from Grappenhall braved the moonlight to impress in a unique competition.
Members of the 25th Warrington East group took part in Operation Moonlight in Ormskirk last month.
They took on the nine hour, 10 mile course.
All of the three teams from the village completed the competition, one of the winning the Led Division and finishing second overall.
Operation Moonlight is a popular long running event which continues to grow each year, this year had a record number of 550 entrants and 150 catchers.
The aim of the exercise is to navigate a course from a secret location whilst avoiding catchers and returning with as many lives as possible intact.
Four hours of the course is in darkness.
