TWO drugs dealers who peddled heroin and crack cocaine from a house in Orford have been jailed.

Emma Matthewman and Steven Willoughby have received a combined prison sentence of eight-and-a-half years after a raid on the former's home on Dickenson Street.

When police executed a warrant at the 47-year-old's property on Monday, August 6, they found drugs, paraphernalia, cash, foil, a large kitchen knife and a hammer.

Officers discovered a number of mobiles phones, a quantity of cash and a piece of paper containing weights and amounts in the living room.

In total, 72 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine were found in the property - as well as a stun gun.

It is believed that 25-year-old Willoughby, from Skelmersdale, was involved in a 'county lines' operation with links to crime groups based in Liverpool.

Both were found guilty of possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Matthewman was handed four-and-a-half years behind bars at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, January 23, while Willoughby was jailed for four years.

Detective sergeant Tom Hall said: "The sentences handed to Willoughby and Matthewman show the huge and positive steps we are taking to disrupt those who commit drug dealing in Warrington.

"The investigation saw us seize 72 deals of heroin and crack cocaine, as well as a Taser.

"With the public’s continued support in providing us with key information to help us tackle serious and organised crime, we can help keep vulnerable people and our communities safe.

"I hope this reassures the local community that we will act on any information that is given to us, and I want to take this opportunity to encourage the public to speak to us if you feel drug activity is taking place in your area."
