TWO high-value performance vehicles have been stolen from Prestatyn.

The vehicles were stolen from Oak Hill Drive and The Avenue on Monday, January 14. Homes were targeted by criminals intending to steal cars by searching properties for vehicle keys.

Detective Sergeant Christopher Williams said: “The incidents have taken place in quick succession during the early hours of the morning. We believe that the offenders have travelled from outside of the area with the sole intention of stealing vehicles.

“They have managed to gain access to the people’s homes and stolen car keys in order to take the vehicles, and I want to reinforce the message that people need to ensure that the doors and windows of their property are secure and that car keys are kept out of sight."

North Wales Police are urging residents to be vigilant by ensuring their homes are kept locked and secure at all times.

Sgt Williams added: “We want to encourage owners of desirable vehicles to be particularly aware of security. We would also encourage the public to report any suspicious circumstances that might appear to be relevant.”

Anyone with information relating to the vehicle thefts are asked to telephone Sgt Williams at St Asaph CID on 101. Quote reference 19100014075.
