DELAYS along Winwick Road this morning, Monday, were caused by items falling off a lorry.
At around 8.20am, firefighters from Warrington were called to reports of a bag of building material in the road near to Alban Retail Park.
On arrival they discovered the bag had split and its contents had spilled onto the carriageway.
After removing the debris, crews used a hose reel jet to clean the road and assisted with managing the building traffic.
They were in the area for 50 minutes.
