A MAN has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 29-year-old Samantha Gosney in court today.
Adam Brettle, 24, of no fixed address, is charged with murder following the death of Samantha Gosney in Parr on Saturday, November 24, 2018.
The mum-of-two suffered fatal injuries after she was stabbed to death at a flat on Swan Avenue, Parr at 11.40am.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Samantha died at the scene.
Brettle, from Warrington, appeared via a video link at Liverpool Crown Court today (Wednesday, January 9).
He entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of murder to the court and will face trial in May.
After the plea, judge Clement Goldstone QC told Brettle: “You will remain in custody pending your trial which will take place in this court on May 20.”
