THE heart-broken family of a motorcyclist who died following a crash on Wilderspool Causeway have paid tribute to the young man ‘who will be missed forever’.

Athanasios (Nassi) Alan Petras, 20, died after his black Yahama motorcycle was involved in a collision with a white HGV on Wilderspool Causeway at around 3.40pm on Tuesday.

In a joint statement, his family said: “Nassi was such a beautiful son, brother, family member, friend and work colleague.

“He was kind hearted, generous, would help anyone and was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

"He will be forever missed and always in our hearts.”

A fundraising page has been set up to help support his family as they come to terms with the 20-year-old’s tragic death.

Posting on the fundraising page, Jess Rutter said: “On January 8, the Petras family received a knock on the door that every family dreads. The news that their precious son and brother Alan Nassi had sadly been killed in a motorbike collision on Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington.

“He lived for his job and family, as well as his passion for his motorbike.

“He was one of the kindest, most considerate young men, you would ever wish to meet and anybody who had the pleasure of meeting him will understand this page. Thank you.”

So far almost £5,000 has been raised in his memory. To donate click here.
