PRIMARY School pupils are set to benefit from a new free breakfast initiative which aims to help set youngsters up for the day.

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Whitecross is the latest school in Warrington to join the nationwide breakfast programme.

Funded by the Department for Education and delivered by charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast, Gaynor Wardman, pastoral manager and Joanne Conroy, a teaching assistant have co-ordinated the programme at Sacred Heart.

The charity provides healthy cereals, bagels and juice with the school providing their own milk and spreads so that pupils can take their time enjoying a healthy breakfast.
