ALMOST 200 runners put their best foot forward in memory of Viola Beach guitarist River Reeves.
Members of Riv's Runners took part in the Santa Dash on December 15 at Warrington parkrun – the day before what would have been the musician's 22nd birthday.
More than 100 members of Warrington Rowing Club took part in the fundraiser as well as River's younger brother Quinlan Dunne, who rows with the J15 squad at Warrington Rowing Club.
A total of £1,758 was raised in aid of the River Reeves Foundation, which was set up in the wake of the 19-year-old's death.
River along with his Viola Beach bandmates and manager Craig Tarry died in a car crash in Sweden in 2016.
The group were on their way home from their first international gig.
Following his sudden death, River's family decided to channel their grief into helping others.
The foundation helps the next generation to make their mark in the performing arts industry by offering grants and financial support.
