CHRISTMAS Day marked the arrival of six bundles of joy on the busy maternity ward at Warrington Hospital.

Baby Atlas was the first to be born on December 25 to delighted parents, Beth Glover and Lewis Partridge.

Atlas, now at home in Burtonwood, arrived at 3.34am weighing 9lb 1oz.

And it was a double celebration for mum Beth, aged 22, as on top of meeting her first child, her partner Lewis, aged 23, also popped the question and the pair got engaged.

Beth said: "Atlas' due date was December 23, so we just expected him to arrive on Christmas Day.

"He got to meet Santa on the ward too."

Georgina Wintersgill, 25, and Daniel Brown, 26, met their baby girl eight days earlier than expected.

Carissa was born at 1.38pm, weighing 6lb 6oz.

George became a little brother after he was born to Louise Morris from Bewsey at 8.30am, weighing 9lb.

Louise and dad Paul, both 38, were prepared for their Christmas dinner to be interrupted as George was due on Christmas Day and was the only one of our festive babies to arrive on time.

Louise said: "My 13-year-old is made up.

"He said this was the best Christmas present ever."

Carmen Paduraru and dad Robert welcomed baby Dominic Emanuel at 5.32am, weighing 6lb 1oz.

This was the 22-year-old's first child who is now settled at home in Bewsey.

Another baby girl on Christmas Day was Holly Grace who was born at 12.28pm and weighed 7lb 9oz.

She was originally due on December 12 which meant a long wait for mum Kate and dad Mark Wilde from Latchford.

Kate said: "She was the first girl of the day and all the midwives cheered!

"The closer to Christmas day it got, the more we thought she might be born then."
