PRIMARY school children will benefit from a free breakfast every morning following the introduction of a new programme aiming to set youngsters up for the day.
Funded by the Department for Education and delivered by charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast, St Barnabas CE Primary School in Whitecross received a start-up grant to buy breakfast supplies for its pupils.
The charity provides healthy cereals, bagels and juice with the school providing their own milk and spreads.
The initiative is aimed at setting up youngsters for the school day with a nutritious and energising meal.
