FITNESS fanatics have shown off their hard work in the gym by posing for a charity calendar.
Gym goers at Studio 1 Fitness on Milner Street are raising funds for the Warrington Youth Club with the calendar, having completed a ‘gruelling’ nine-week programme of nutrition and weight training.
Kelly Anne James, who set up the gym three years ago, believes that the prospect of showing off their bodies ensured that the group worked even harder during their intensive workout programme.
The 38-year-old said: “Once a year, we run a fitness model course - the people who take part train and diet like a fitness model, then have a glamorous photoshoot with a professional photographer at the end of the programme.

“They knew that they would be going into the calendar that people they know are going to be hanging up on their walls, so it spurred everyone on to put the effort in.
“They’re just average men and women who come to us because they want to look different, feel better and to build their confidence.
“I try to make the courses a little bit different every time and one of my clients does a lot of work with the Warrington Youth Club, so we decided to help them.”

The group of 25 gym goers took part in a themed photoshoot with photographer Matt Marsh of Lime Print Solutions.
Kelly, from Chapelford, added: “The day of the photoshoot itself was brilliant, everyone loved taking part.
“All the photos had different themes to make it a bit more fun and relaxed - everyone came up with their own bits that they wanted to do too.
“They’re all very happy that they’re on it - some of them can’t believe it to be honest.
“We’ve sold quite a few already calendars already, people are coming into the gym all the time for them.
“We want to sell as many of them as we possibly can, because everything we make will go to the charity.”
The calendars are priced at £10 and available from Studio 1 Fitness.
All profits go towards the Warrington Youth Club and Onside, who are currently developing plans for the £6.5million Warrington Youth Zone in the town centre.
Based at the junction of Dallam Lane and Foundry Street, the youth zone is scheduled to open in late 2019.
