VINTAGE and open top buses will ferry passengers around Warrington for one day only next week.
Warrington’s Own Buses will put its vintage Leyland PD2 double decker and Volvo Olympian open top bus into use on Friday, December 21.
The special buses will operates on the Cheshire Cat, Pops and 16 services in the town.
Bus company bosses and Father Christmas himself will be onboard to welcome passengers with chocolates, while fares will be donated to St Rocco’s Hospice.
Warrington’s Own Buses chairman Cllr Cathy Mitchell said: "For a second year running, we will have our special buses out to spread some festive cheer.
"We’ve done a lot in the past 12 months to reduce fares and improve services and we have more to come in 2019.
"It is also fitting to make a donation to St Rocco’s Hospice as it is such a worthwhile charity."
