WATCH ABOVE: Warrington Wolves stars Lama Tasi, Toby King and Harvey Livett have a festive game of charades

WITH no festive friendly against Widnes Vikings taking place this year, Warrington Wolves players will be able to enjoy Christmas with their feet up and a well-deserved beverage in hand.

Ahead of the big day, we caught up with Wire stars Lama Tasi, Toby King and Harvey Livett for a Christmas Q&A.

They shared their favourite festive films and remembered the best presents that Father Christmas brought them as a kid.

Warrington Guardian:

  • What’s the best Christmas present you received as a child?

Harvey: "I’d probably say a bike when I was a little kid – I was probably about seven.

"It was quite an expensive bike but it was the one I wanted, and my mum got me it.

"After that I was out every day on the bike."

Toby: "One year when I was about 10 years old, we celebrated Christmas in Brazil – we swapped the snow for a bit of sun, it was really nice.

"I got a Manchester United shirt that year.

"I’m a Huddersfield Town fan now they’re in the Premier League, but back then Manchester United were winning."

Lama: "The best Christmas gift I ever received would probably have to be the Playstation when it first came out, when I was eight.

"We were all obsessed with Jonah Lomu, and a game called Jonah Lomu Rugby came out.

"My brothers and me always used to play it."

  • What’s the worst Christmas present you’ve ever given?

Harvey: "Probably just a pair of socks.

"When you open a present and see a pair of socks you’re never too happy, so it would probably be that."

Toby: "I’d have to go for the generic vouchers, they’re a bit boring.

"Usually if you get someone a voucher, you just don’t know what to get them."

Lama: "It would probably be a Lynx gift set."

  • What’s your favourite Christmas film?

Lama: "I’d have to say Home Alone.

"It’s a classic and it’s on every Christmas."

Toby: "I’d probably say the Chronicles of Narnia.

"Harvey says it’s not a Christmas film, but it definitely is.

"It’s set in winter anyway and it’s snowing.

"If I can’t have that, then I’d say the Polar Express."

Harvey: "I’m going with Elf.

"It’s always on at Christmas and it’s a classic – and I’ve got an Elf hat on at the moment."

  • What’s your favourite Christmas memory?

Harvey: "Just being with family and having a few drinks.

"This year I’ll be able to have a few drinks – I’ve not been allowed for the last few years with the Widnes game going on.

"Just getting all the family round, having a meal and then watching all the films in the evening."

Toby: "Just having family time is great.

"It’s not often we get to spend time with our families because of the rugby.

"It’s nice to be able to go home and spend time with the family, living over here now.

"Unlucky for George, he’s got a Boxing Day game and he’ll miss Christmas again.

"I think we’ve not had Christmas for five years now without a drink, but I can finally relax this time with a glass of red."

Lama: "I’m exactly the same as the boys.

"Christmas is a massive family day.

"It’s nice to see everyone together and happy and to enjoy a couple of drinks and a feed together.

"I’ll spend Christmas with a couple of the boys, and then my partner is coming over after Christmas."
