CHRISTMAS spirit was in the air when the annual Lymm Dickensian Festival returned to the village on Saturday.
Crowds went back in time at the Victorian celebration in the centre of the village.
The festival has taken place for more than a quarter of a century in Lymm.
It is held on the second Saturday in December and is organised by the Lymm Dickensian Charity Committee.
Every year the Lymm community comes together with the support of the Lymm Parish Council to take the village back in time to a different era to when the author Charles Dickens was alive.
