BAD weather and a closed lane is causing severe delays on the M62 eastbound this morning.
Lane four on the approach to junction 12 for the Eccles Interchange is closed for roadworks and this is causing congestion to junction 8 for Warrington West / Burtonwood.
The M62 is now down to one lane leading on to the M602 into Manchester.
Travel time is around an hour.
Traffic is heavier than normal along Sankey Way into town from Penketh Road Roundabout to Liverpool Road (Pink Eye Roundabout). Travel time is five minutes.
