THE Coral will be playing at the Parr Hall in spring 2019.

Wirral's five-piece, who were last at the Palmyra Square venue for the Viola Beach tribute celebration in 2016, will be in Warrington on March 16.

It follows the release of their critically acclaimed new album, Move Through The Dawn, which came out in August.

And the band will be supported by Cut Glass Kings and Marvin Powell, who are both signed to their Skeleton Key record label.

Move Through The Dawn is the follow-up to 2016’s psychedelic Distance Inbetween and has been influenced by 60s and 70s music.

The album contains the singles, Reaching Out For A Friend, Sweet Release and Eyes Like Pearls, which was playlisted at both 6 Music and Radio 2.

Since their debut EP release in 2001 The Coral, whose line-up originally featured Warrington's Bill Ryder Jones, have sold more than a million UK albums, with five reaching the top 10 including 2003’s chart-topping Magic and Medicine.

Their eight top 40 singles include Dreaming Of You, In The Morning, Pass It On and Don’t Think You’re The First.
