A HOMECARE service has been rated as outstanding following an inspection.
Macintyre Warrington, which is based at the Warrington Business Park on Long Lane, has been given the top rating following a visit by the Care Quality Commission in August.
The service - which was inspected at 48 hours’ notice - provides personal care and support services for adults and children with autism, learning difficulties and physical disabilities.
Debbie Westhead, the CQC’s deputy chief inspector of adult social care, said: “The service was outstanding in all areas we inspected, a marvellous result and one to be extremely proud of.
“The service had developed an open and transparent culture and empowered staff to create strong, caring relationships with the people they supported.
“People’s views mattered to the service - this culture helped people to feel safe and opened them to discuss difficult issues or concerns and gave reassurance that action would be taken.
“This service is a superb example of what is achievable through support.”
