THE Halliwell Jones Stadium is officially a world record breaker.

The ground staged the world’s largest mental health lesson in June and earlier this month, the official Guinness World Record certificate was handed over.

Warrington Wolves teamed up with the North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, State of Mind Sport and the Offload project ton the impressive event.

Karl Fitzpatrick, Wolves chief executive, said: “On behalf of the club I’d like to once again thank everyone who attended on the evening. It was fantastic to see the amount of support for such a worthwhile cause, raising the awareness of mental health.

“As a club we are proud of the town’s record-breaking achievement and we have now received the official certificate to display within the stadium for all visitors to see.”

Simon Barber, chief executive NW Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, added: “I would like to thank everyone who was involved for making this happen, it was such an inspirational evening hearing real life experiences to raise awareness of mental health.”
