WOOLSTON tip is set to reopen on Wednesday following a major refurbishment.
The site has been shut since August while work was carried out to allow more waste to be brought in and improve traffic flow.
Other improvements include resurfacing, renewed perimeter fencing, and upgraded lighting and security systems.
The refurbished recycling centre will operate from 10am to 4pm.
The project is part of a £1.8m investment by the council community recycling services, which is also seeing major improvements being made at Gatewarth Tip in Sankey Bridges, to bring it up to the required standards and which are due for completion in March.
For further information please see the project website warrington.gov.uk/crcimprovements.
No decision has yet been made on plans to shut Stockton Heath tip.
