IT may be more than a month until Father Christmas’ reindeers are called into action, but gymgoers at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub are getting a head start on Rudolph and his friends by pulling a sleigh in aid of charity.
Livewire is currently holding its Sled Challenge in aid of Children in Need at the Orford Park gym.
Participants have two-and-a-half minutes to do as many shuttle runs while pushing and pulling the 40kg sledge, with the challenge running until Sunday, November 18.
Gymgoers donate £1 each to take part, with a personal training session up for grabs for the winner.
James Birdsey, operations manager at Orford hub, said: “Livewire supports Children in Need every year, and it’s great to see a festive-themed sled challenge as Christmas approaches.
“Fancy dress isn’t a necessity, so we hope to see plenty of people having a go.”
The crèche at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub will also be holding a pyjama day on Friday, November 16, in aid of Children in Need.
