SPIRE Cheshire Hospital will provide private healthcare to police officers under a new agreement.

The Stretton hospital has struck a deal with not-for-profit financial services organisation Police Mutual, which will see it give care to officers, force staff and their families.

Hospital director Andrew Johnson said: “We are delighted to be involved with Police Mutual in what is a long-standing and very successful healthcare scheme.

“We are very proud they decided we could provide the quality of care that such a scheme demands, and I am certain we will be able to give them the sort of services they are looking for.”

Spire Cheshire Hospital, on Fir Tree Close, is one of three Spire sites to be selected for the scheme.

Andy Elkington, group sales and marketing director at Police Mutual, added: “Our focus on improving the lives of those who protect us is our way of showing support for what members of the police do.

“We were very impressed with what Spire had to offer, and are delighted to have them on board as health partners.”
