ECO-FRIENDLY primary school pupils have been awarded the Green Flag Eco Schools Award.
Pupils and staff at St Lewis' RC Primary School in Croft have worked to establish an eco committee and investigate the school’s environmental performance, completing seven steps before they could be awarded the green flag.
On Wednesday, October 17 an external assessor visited St Lewis’ to complete an assessment for the Green Flag Eco Schools Award.
This is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning.
The assessor met with pupils who gave him a tour of the school grounds highlighting all of the projects that have contributed to achieving this award.
And he was impressed with their commitment to achieving the Eco-Schools award.
