A 17-YEAR-OLD boy who is accused of arming himself with an imitation firearm has been charged with attempted robbery in Runcorn.
The teen, cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Warrington Youth Court today, Friday after being charged with a total of four offences.
This includes attempted robbery, assault by beating, possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence.
He was released on conditional bail to appear at Warrington Youth Court again on November 28.
This follows an investigation into two incidents on Maricopa Close and at Phoenix Park on the evening of August 17.
A 16-year-old boy, who is from Runcorn and also cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged on August 19 with attempted robbery and possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on August 20.
