A SECOND bid to open a Pizza Hut at Birchwood Shopping Centre has been scrapped.
Developer CS2 Chartered Surveyors had submitted a fresh application for planning permission to covert the former Regus hairdressers unit into a takeaway.
Previous proposals for a Pizza Hut, sited two doors away from the existing Domino’s outlet, were refused by Warrington Borough Council due to its proximity to Birchwood High School.
And the developer has now withdrawn its second application for planning permission.
The council had indicated that these plans would also be refused unless the takeaway opened from 5pm, instead of 11am.
But the proposals were withdrawn on Tuesday, October 23.
