NEWTON RUFC are still seeking their first win of the campaign.
Their second trip to the Isle of Man this season resulted in another loss at the weekend, 43-12 at Vagabonds.
Although Newton are struggling to kick-start their term with wins, it is not for the want of trying.
As on previous outings, they played good rugby but they came in patches.
Newton’s well-earned points came courtesy of a try each from Steve Chapell and Simon Hughes, with Andy McKenna adding a conversion.
Newton's man of the match, sponsored by 'Fat Lives Matter', was Joe Smith for an outstanding all-round performance.
With a continuing never-say-die attitude, the results should come soon.
They will try again at home to Mossley Hill on Saturday at Newton Sports Club, Crow Lane East.
