FIREFIGHTERS rescued a horse stuck in water up to its stomach in Glazebrook.
Fire crews were called to Woolden Road at 2.30pm yesterday, Monday, following reports a horse was stuck in a brook.
Two firefighters wearing life jackets entered the brook to rescue the eight-year-old horse named Billy, who has since been passed to the care of a qualified vet.
He is now back in his stables.
