AN air ambulance was called to a medical emergency in Warrington this afternoon.
The helicopter landed on the old English Martyrs Catholic High School playing field off Poplars Avenue at 1.10pm today, Monday.
The North West Ambulance Service was unable to provide more information about the incident as it happened in a private address in the town.
But a spokesman could confirm that the air ambulance left an hour later at 2.15pm as it was no longer needed.
Paramedics remain at the property to provide medical assistance.
