A SUBWAY is to open inside Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub - replacing the current in-house cafe.

And as part of a new deal with LiveWire, the sandwich chain will also open at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub.

The sandwich and salad franchise is set to open the new outlet in Orford after the current in-house café closes on Wednesday, October 31.

The move means the food and drink concession at Orford will be open for increased number of hours compared to its current operating hours, creating around 20 jobs.

“We were really keen to work with a catering provider that offers a large variety of healthier options” said Matthew Parker, Operations Director at LiveWire.

“Subway offers a wide selection of freshly-prepared sandwiches and salads which will be on offer to our members.

“We’re particularly pleased that this will mean extended hours of fresh food more in line with our opening hours – something we feel will greatly benefit everyone who uses the facilities at Orford.”

The new Subway outlet will offer the full menu and will be located on the ground floor of the Orford site, along with a seating area for 30 people, serving area and pay points.

The outlet is being operated by local entrepreneurs Neil Danily and Keith Hodgkinson, who say they are proud to be opening in Warrington.

Neil said: “I have always wanted to open a store here in Warrington, which I believe will give residents more choice and options with real value.”

Full opening times for the Subway outlet are to be confirmed but are expected to be in line with opening times for Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub, with food available from around 7am to 9.30pm Monday to Friday, and from 8am and up to 30 minutes before closing time at weekends.
