IT will be odds on Wire fans get to Saturday’s Grand Final at Old Trafford on time as Betfred boss Fred Done is picking up the taxi bill for supporters.
After hiring ten black cabs for £20,000, it will be all aboard for free for fans flagging down the taxis that can’t be missed as they are all decorated in Birchwood-based Betfred colours.
One fan in the right cab at the right time will win £1,000 and a signed Grand Final ball while another 10 supporters will be handed £100 consolation prizes.
To go for free fans need to show their final ticket to the driver who will only be picking up Warriors and Wolves supporters within Manchester city centre in the M1, M2 or M3 postcodes between 10am and kick off at 6pm on Saturday.
Wire captain Chris Hill said: “For sponsors Betfred to splash out to help the fans is brilliant, well played.”

Betfred boss Fred said: “I have never had a taxi fare as big as this but I have no regrets whatsoever. The supporters of both these famous clubs are the salt of the earth who love their rugby league – and deserve to arrive at the final in style."
