Cumbria has been ranked as the second best destination for hotels that offer facilities perfect for the summer.
The AA conducted a study to prepare families for the holiday season, and identified 76 summer-ready hotels in the county.
Simon Numphud, managing director of AA Hotel and Hospitality Services, said: "With the British summer hitting record-breaking temperatures, there really is no better place to holiday than the UK with many great locations to enjoy both our coastline and countryside.
"We have so many incredible AA Hotels across the UK that are perfect for the summer getaway, that offer great hospitality, service and a super range of activities and facilities to make the very best of the summer."
