MEMBERS of the 75 Engineers Regiment marched through town this morning.
The Orford Barracks-based army reservists exercised their right as freemen of Warrington to march through the town centre today, Saturday.
A route beginning and ending at the Town Hall was led by the Nottingham Royal Engineers band.
Upon returning, the Mayor of Warrington Cllr Karen Mundry took a salute from the troops and inspected the parade.
She said: “The men and women of the 75 Engineers Regiment have long had a close association with Warrington – we were delighted to bestow upon them our highest honour by granting them the freedom of the borough in 2013.
“We are very proud of the regiment and this is a fantastic opportunity to thank them for the work they do.”
