BEN Currie is in “a really good place” as he continues his recovery from his second serious knee injury, Wire head coach Steve Price said.
The 24-year-old suffered a season-ending injury during the Challenge Cup victory over Bradford Bulls in April.
It came after the second rower missed the majority of last season with another anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.
Currie resumed running three weeks ago and has been steadily building strength in his knee, which has been reconstructed for the second time.

Price says his recovery is going much better this time around and that he is well on track to return in 2019.
“Bennie Currie is doing so well,” he said.
“He’s a lot more advanced this time around than with his previous injury. He’s working extremely hard to get a lot of strength.
“He’s in a really good place and it’s good to see him out there again.”
