I HAD to visit Warrington’s A&E department after a fall in the town centre, caused by bone deterioration in my legs.
I was amazed at the treatment I received.
After checking in at reception it took less than 50 minutes to be seen by a doctor, have an x-ray and get the results.
The staff were very concerned, caring, organised and thorough.
The A&E doctor, Tom Byrne, was very meticulous.
My GP had already been arranging an MRI scan and Dr Byrne followed that up by arranging an urgent one.
However another surprise was a call from the hospital just a few days later advising me to go back and I was admitted onto a ward and the following day was operated on.
This was just one week after my visit to A&E.
I cannot thank the staff enough from A&E, X-ray department, A wards, surgeons, ICU.
They have been my angels. I know there has been bad press in the past but to me it seems like a completely different hospital now and it is about time the wonderful, hardworking staff got some appreciation.
