TRAFFIC is at a standstill on the M6 northbound following an accident involving five vehicles.
Two lanes were closed between junction 20 for the Lymm Interchange and junction 21 for Woolston.

All lanes have now RE-OPENED.
A Highways England spokesman added: "Delays remain on approach, however they are clearing well. Thank you for your patience."
There had been delays of more than an hour in the area and congestion was backed up to junction 19 for Knutsford.
The collision involved three cars and two vans.
