A lane of the M62 eastbound has been closed following an accident near to Birchwood this morning.
CLOSURES were in place on the M62 this morning after a crash involving a car and a lorry.
One lane of the eastbound carriageway was shut between junction 11 at Birchwood and junction 12 at Eccles following the accident, which happened at around 8.45am.
Traffic was heavy in the area of the motorway affected by roadworks, but all lanes have since reopened.
