POLICE arrested a man in Cronton after a group on scrambler bikes were seen riding in an 'intimidating' manner with their faces covered.
The group of men were seen riding scrambler bikes riding around Whiston yesterday, Tuesday).
Officers attended and found the group, who had their faces covered and were wearing no helmets and described as acting with 'a sheer defiance to not be caught or identified'.
A foot chase led to one suspect being detained on Cronton Road, Cronton and a green Kawasaki KX was seized by officers.
A 20-year-old man from Page Moss, Huyton was arrested on suspicion of numerous offences including dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and of theft relating to the bike.
