YOU may see some new figures when you are out and about across Warrington in the coming months.
A selection of armed forces silhouetters, known as Tommie’s, have been bought by Warrington Borough Council from the Royal British Legion to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
Members of the legion came to the Town Hall and met Mayor Cllr Karen Mundry on Friday to see the figures which represent the Navy, Royal Flying Corps, Nurses and Munitions Worker.
The silhouettes will be displayed at locations around the town as the date of the centenary moved closer in November.
