RESIDENTS in Lymm have been sending in poppies to help create a unique Remembrance Service.
A cascade of community poppies will be on display in St Mary's in Lymm on November 11 to commemorate the 100 years anniversary of the First World War armistice.
A collection box is currently open at the back of the church and organisers need poppies dropping off no later than September 22.
The church is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am and 12pm and during the 10.45am Thursday service and 10am Sunday service.
Poppies can be made of any material (knitted, tissue paper, cardboard or paper etc) and of any size but no larger than a diameter of 10cm.
