PERFECT weather allowed children at a Lymm pre-school to raise £200.

The youngsters at Statham Little Foxes completed the 10th annual toddle-waddle from their base next door to Statham School to the canalside gardens of Leckonby Cottage on Whitbarrow Road.

It was the 10th anniversary of the event hosted by Su and Alan Williams,

Having walked almost a mile of the Trans-Pennine trail in convoy along with parents, teachers and carers the children were able to enjoy a picnic on the lawn before receiving their individual 'toddle-waddler' medals.

Su said: "Over the years we have had all sorts of weather conditions to contend with but this year was absolutely perfect and we love being able to share our garden with the children for a such a good cause."

The walk also raised close on £200 to help fund an outdoor music area for the pre-school.

"The toddle-waddle is always one of the highlight events of the summer term and the fact that it also raises money is an added bonus" said Nichola Kelly, from Little Foxes.
