FOUR pubs in Warrington will be offering free pints of beers to customers during this summer’s World Cup.

The Butchers Arms in Great Sankey, the Plough in Houghton Green, the Golden Fleece in Lymm and the Cat and Lion in Stretton will all be giving away pints of a limited edition beer brewed by footballing hero Chris Kamara during the festival of football in Russia.

From Thursday, June 14, anyone in one of the four Greene King pubs who has downloaded the Greene King Season Ticket app will be able to receive a free pint of ‘Unbeerlievable’ during matches.

And the app also gives fans 10 per cent off drinks during games, as well as an hour either side of kick off and full time.

Gary Haydock, general manager at the Butchers Arms, said: “With a packed summer of sport to enjoy, it’s the perfect time to gather your mates together for a night at the pub.

“This year though, we’re giving locals an extra reason to swap their sofa spectating for the unbeatable atmosphere of the pub – with a pint of beer they didn’t have to pay for.

“We’re looking forward to kicking off the celebrations here in Warrington and taking the opportunity to enjoy a pint of beer brewed by a footballing legend.

“We know this summer of sport is going to be the best one yet, whatever the results.”
